Eva: "At our chamber music festival we form temporary teams that push themselves to the limit in a very short period of time. As an artistic director I find it challenging to put international toptalents and personalities together in unexpecting combinations. This results in fireworks and that is exactly what I love to show: exciting concerts where musicians and the audience have an intense experience."

Humoresque concert 2014

with Hyung-ki Joo

In 2003, The Hague violinist Eva Stegeman took the initiative to found a new chamber music festival.During its first year, the festival started with just three concerts at the Duivenvoorde Castle in Voorschoten. During the following years the festival quickly developed into a five day event with multiple concerts at various prominent abd historic locations in and around the city of The Hague, such as the Nieuwe Kerk, the Peace Palace and the Lourdeskerk. The festival also meets its audience at less traditional venues such as living rooms, galeries, caf├ęs, museums, salons and other surprising locations. Each year, artistic leader Eva Stegeman invites a group of internationally renowned musicians who gather in The Hague to rehearse, perform and inspire our audience. The carefully selected programme each year revolves around an artistic theme. The festival is known for its personal character, innovative programming and unique atmosphere.
